Social Media Reporting

With over 13 years’ experience in television production, I have been the TV Presenter for two Irish Motorsport Championships for the last 5 years, airing on TG4, BT Sport and Motors TV. Two years ago, I could see that there was a huge appetite for LIVE content and for behind the scenes interviews on social media.

I took over the production companies Snap Chat account and I started doing light-hearted IV’s with the drivers, showing junctions at the rally, meeting the rally fans and covering the general running around involved in a busy day of filming. In short, the content has been great craic for the rally community and became hugely successful.

In 2018 I was awarded a ceremonial trophy to recognize how much my social media coverage meant to the championship which was a fantastic reflection on how important social media and connecting with the community really is.

From that success story, I pitched ideas to RTE’s The Sunday Game underlining how much more they could be doing with their social media channels and with the GAA pundits that they have at their disposal. They hired me as a social media reporter for both their Instagram and Facebook following for the 2018 and 2019 season and the levels of engagement grew consistently.
